Samsung’s Auris soundbar experience wins prestigious retail tech award

The Observation

Samsung has an impressive family of best-in-class soundbars, sound towers, sub-woofers. The consumers easily can be overwhelmed by the choice and comparing the sound devices has been a challenge, why Samsung turned to us for a compelling solution to this problem.

The Solution Design

Together with Cheil, Samsung's creative agency, we developed an intuitive journey allowing customers by simply selecting the desired sound device on a tablet, the music genre and moving the volume slider sensing an immersive experience second to none. Comparisons with the other eight sound devices to choose from, or the option to turn on the optional TV sound makes the journey memorable. Samsung can track interactions, preferences and journey times, thus learning about and adressing customer trends even faster.

The Result

No wonder, Samsung could experience a substantial sales boost of its soundbars since the experience was deployed. Ever since, it did not only see an international expansion beyond its initial Austria-wide launch, but it also picked up the prestigious Shopassociation DACH silver award in 2025.
